Blockbuster Survey Reveals Popular Votes for 2007 Academy Awards

The Academy may have the final say, but Blockbuster has conducted a survey on who should win this year's Oscars with a group of highly qualified experts -- movie lovers. The votes are in on the Blockbuster Academy Award survey, and according to film fans, the Oscar goes to... "The Departed" for best picture, with close to a quarter of movie fans choosing the Martin Scorcese mafia tale as their top pick in this category. However, "Little Miss Sunshine" comes in at a close second with twenty-two percent of the votes. Meryl Streep wins for best actress in "The Devil Wears Prada." For best actor its Will Smith in "The Pursuit of Happyness," And sweeping the supporting categories: the stars of "Dreamgirls" Jennifer Hudson and Eddie Murphy.

The Presidential Election: More People Would 'Consider Voting for' and Choose Clinton and Obama Than Would Consider or Choose Any Republican Candidate

A new Harris Poll asks the public questions about current and potential presidential candidates that are slightly different from those asked in most other polls. First, people are asked who on a long list of thirty-four political leaders they would "consider voting for." Then they are asked who of all the listed leaders "they would most likely vote for." Hillary Clinton remains the front-runner among Democrats. Fully seventy-four percent of Democrats would consider voting for her and thirty-six percent pick her as their first choice. However, Barack Obama has moved up into a strong second place, with fifty-three percent of Democrats saying they would consider him and eighteen percent who pick him as their first choice.

Playboy Launches Rock The Rabbit

Playboy Enterprises has announced a new project called Rock the Rabbit which blends music with fashion as part of the annual March Music Issue. Playboy asked twenty musicians to design a custom line of limited edition t- shirts placing their own personal stamp on the Rabbit Head brand and logo. Six of the artists asked to participate in this project are featured in a fashion pictorial shot by legendary shutterbug Mick Rock in Playboy's March issue. The artists range from up and coming rockers to established hip-hop musicians.

Teens Turn Away From Street Drugs, Move to Prescription Drugs, New Report Reveals

John Walters, Director of National Drug Control Policy, has released a new White House analysis that shows alarming trends in teen abuse of prescription drugs and cough and cold medicines to get high. The report shows that teens are turning away from street drugs, like marijuana and cocaine, and are now abusing prescription drugs to get high. New users of prescription drugs have now caught up with new users of marijuana. Prescription drugs are now the second most commonly used illegal drug by teens to get high, behind marijuana.
