Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights Premier Sponsor of Michigan's First TV Show Dedicated to High School Athletics on FSN Detroit
DETROIT, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights (MRCC) announce their premier sponsorship of Michigan's first and exclusive sports program dedicated to covering high school athletics across Michigan on FSN Detroit -- "Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights High School Sports Hammer Time." This newly created half hour high school sports program reaches more than 3.5 million cable and satellite subscribers across the State of Michigan.
"The Hammer Time show represents what the MRCC and our over 20,000 members stand for, which is combining skill, teamwork, and initiative to accomplish a greater goal," stated Douglas C. Buckler, Executive Secretary/Treasurer, Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights. The "MRCC High School Sports Hammer Time" program includes six segments -- Building A Winning Team, Student Reporter, Difference Maker, Student Profile, Highlights, and Around The State. The format of the show will also include the awarding of $1,000 scholarships to deserving student athletes who have made a positive difference in their communities on and off the playing field.
The MRCC's sponsorship of the "High School Sports Hammer Time" show will air for 40 weeks of the total 2007 high school sports season in Michigan starting on Wednesday, February 7th. Hammer Time appears on FSN Detroit on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., Thursdays at 12:00 p.m., and an additional weekend airing as well.
The Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights represents the interests of more than 20,000 journeymen and women, as well as apprentices, across the State of Michigan. The MRCC offers complete apprenticeship programs as well as ongoing training, and also administers healthcare and pension benefits to its membership.
