Shilpa Shetty in Talks to Host Reality Cricket Show

LONDON, January 24/PRNewswire/ -- Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, hot favourite to win Big Brother
this weekend, is in talks with Investors in Cricket, the owners of the
Cricket Star television show, to co-host the UK version. Cricket Star
launched on Indian TV last week, presented by the Bollywood personality
Shweta Salve, along with a host of cricket celebrities including Kapil Dev,
Saurav Ganguly and England's own Monty Panesar. In India, the show has met
with a phenomenal response, with 25,000 applications from across the country
in a three week application period that resulted in a 12 city audition
process. It is the first reality show to be screened on the National
Broadcaster (DD) and simulcast on the Zee TV network. The show has already
created huge excitement, and hopes to unearth a future Sachin Tendulkar.
Cricket Star is set to come to the UK in the summer 2007 and will include
Shetty. Fraser Castellino, CEO of Cricket Star, said "Cricket is a racially
