Two-Thirds of U.S. Adults Rate Current State of the Country as Poor, According to Latest Harris Poll
As President George Bush prepares to address the country in the annual State of the Union, less than one-third of U-S adults surveyed by the Harris Poll rate the current state of the country as "good," while 69 percent believe it is "poor." Men are more likely to have a favorable perspective, with 37 percent believing the current state of the country is "good," compared to only 26 percent of women, creating an interesting gender gap.
As one might expect, a partisan difference exists: only ten percent of Democrats and 27 percent of Independents believe the state of the country is "good." Interestingly, Republicans are not overwhelmingly pleased with things either, as just over half of them say the state of the country is "good."

Billy Joel to Perform National Anthem February 4 at Super Bowl XLI on CBS
Grammy-Award winning performer Billy Joel will sing the National Anthem during the Super Bowl 41 pre-game show on C-B-S at Dolphin Stadium in South Florida on Sunday, February fourth. Joel becomes the first performer to sing the National Anthem twice in the Super Bowl. He was featured in the Super Bowl 23 pregame show in Miami in 1989.

65 Percent of Americans Spend More Time with Their Computer than Their Spouse
A survey says 65 percent of consumers are spending more time with a computer than with their significant other. That's according to new independent research commissioned by support.com.
Conducted by independent research firm Kelton Research, the "Cyber Stress" study confirmed consumers' growing relationship with technology in their everyday lives. In fact, more than eight out of ten Americans say they are more dependent on their home computer now than they were just three years ago.
