Mogopop: Create and Share Media for iPod(R)

Introducing Mogopop.com - the place to make, get and share multimedia iPod(R) content

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Mogopop, Inc. today unveils the beta launch of Mogopop.com, the one-stop shop for creating, sharing and downloading rich media iPod content in a flash.

The site, at http://www.mogopop.com/, offers the owners of the more than 70 million iPods sold a hub for both creating multimedia content - like miniature Websites for iPods - with audio, video, images and more, and downloading fun and functional iPod content created by other Mogopop users. The site and content downloads are entirely free to use.

"Until today, it's required a lot of technical savvy for a person to share media with other iPod owners - a video he's created, a song her band recorded, or a photo he took. Mogopop removes that barrier," said Jordan Allen-Dutton, Mogopop CEO and co-founder. "With Mogopop, people can now enjoy a world of personal media like fan sites, blogs, and videos on iPods as they have for years on the Web."

Before Mogopop, there was no easy way for people to make or get rich multimedia content for iPod. For example, a number of services offer music and video downloads, but a fan could not get songs, videos, liner notes, album art and interviews from a favorite band on to their iPod in a single download from a single source. Mogopop makes that possible.

A sampling of content published by members of Mogopop.com includes:

-- A multimedia guide to the Milford Sound Trek in Australia, with
elevation maps, trek route directions, and more
-- Comedy videos from comedy troupe The Geniuses
-- Music from indie artists including Yung Mars and Gedina, and remixes
from Dj Samy Drift Finger
-- Sports, television, and pop music trivia quizzes for iPod
-- Teaching projects from educators around the world

Mogopop's Web-based tools allow content providers to create a hyperlinked set of pages, with media assets including audio, video, images, text and podcasts, and publish for distribution on Mogopop.com.

Creating or downloading content on Mogopop is easy, and requires:

-- An iPod(R) and iTunes(R)
-- A Mac or PC operating system
-- The Mogopop Manager (free at Mogopop.com), which sits on the user's
desktop and organizes their selected Mogopop content downloads
-- To create content, a free Mogopop membership
