'Dreamgirls' and NJ Businesses Give Hope and Inspiration to Trenton Area High School Students
PHOTO/BROADCAST OPPORTUNITY: Ms. Sarah Dash, an original member of Patti
LaBelle and the Bluebelles, will honor the NJ Mentor Power
'Dreamgirls' and inspire the 70 teams of mentor/mentees with song.
WHO: NJ Mentor Power Program's 'Dreamgirls' including Assemblywoman
Bonnie Watson Coleman, NJ Department of Environmental Protection
Commissioner Lisa Jackson and Eleanor Horne, Vice President of the
Social Investment Group at Educational Testing Services; 70
students and their mentors from local companies, including Kerr
Concrete Pipe of Hammonton and Farmingdale, NJ.
WHAT: NJ Mentor Power Program, whose mission is to increase the
participation of under-served high school students in science and
environmental studies through one-to-one mentoring, kicks off
their annual mentoring program. Each mentor/mentee team has chosen
a challenging science or environmental project to research, study
and present in the spring at the Mentor Power Fair.
