Last Chance for Winner to Net Free 12 Hour Recording Session

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Free singing voice auditions are being held at the Hendersonville White Castle restaurant from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, and Friday, December 15. This is Nashville's newest White Castle, located at East Main Street (US Route 31) and Cherokee Road.

Finalists will compete at WKDF studios on Wednesday, December 20 for the grand prize of a 12 hour recording session at East Iris Studios in Nashville. The session includes an executive producer, engineer, product coordinator, 5 instrumental musicians and one background singer to record a one-song demo. Approximate retail value for the session is $5,900. Second place winner gets $500; third place gets $250.

Similar to the national show, "American Idol", White Castle wanted to provide an easy way for new singing talent to show their stuff on a local basis. Themed, "Slyder(R) Superstar", the contest is the company's way of embracing the thriving recording industry in Nashville.

The talent search is being supported with zoned cable television, ads and podcasts via Nashville Scene, street team flyer distribution, and WKDF radio mentions and WKDF web site banner during the promotion.

White Castle owns and operates 12 restaurants in the area with four in Nashville and others located in Bowling Green Murfreesboro, Clarksville, Hermitage, Glasgow, Lebanon, and Hendersonville.

White Castle was established in Wichita, Kansas in 1921 and is considered to be the first fast food hamburger restaurant chain.
