NVTC and the Telework Coalition to Host Landmark Telework Event on 11/27 with Virginia Governor Kaine, Secretary of Technology Chopra
HERNDON, Va., Nov. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) and the Telework Coalition (TelCoa) will host a landmark event to promote the new Virginia Office of Telework Promotion and Broadband Assistance on Nov. 27 at the Center for Innovative Technology (CIT) building in Herndon, Va. During the event, Virginia Governor Timothy Kaine and Virginia Secretary of Technology Aneesh Chopra will announce plans for the new office and the Governor's initiative on telework, and will present a document signed by local technology company executives in which they pledge to support efforts to "expand or implement telework within our organizations and to encourage our colleagues in other organizations, private and public, to implement or expand telework."

Virginia representatives in the U.S. Congress, members of the Governor's Cabinet, members of the Virginia House of Delegates and Fairfax County executives also have been invited to attend this event, along with other dignitaries and members of the technology community in Northern Virginia.
