Arnold Schwarzenegger's First Movie to be Sold on eBay, Begins Election Day - November 7, 2006

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Have you ever wanted to be a movie mogul? Ever thought about owning a piece of Hollywood/political history? Beginning November 7, 2006 Premiere Pictures, Kompolt, the online auction agency, and eBay are aiming to make that dream come true for one lucky -- and well-heeled -- bidder, by auctioning off the movie rights to Arnold Schwarzenegger's first film, "Hercules in New York." Never before has the copyright to a major film stars' acting debut been auctioned off like this -- with the negative of the film, various memorabilia and an income stream from certain distribution rights included in the package!

The auction ends on November 17, 2006, with 25% of the proceeds being donated by Premiere to The Metro Theatre Center Foundation (www.indieplex.org) to fund The Chris Holter Legacy Awards. These awards support grants to Bay Area filmmakers and festivals, and also the establishment of an independent film and live event venue in San Francisco.

Produced in 1969, "Hercules" was Arnold's feature film debut. His voice was dubbed in the original version, but in 2000 the tracks of Arnold's real voice were restored, visual elements were improved using digital technology and Lions Gate Films released the movie for the first time on DVD, with great success. The film's campy style combined with Arnold's big-muscled presence made "Hercules" a true cult film.

"Hercules in New York" has made substantial profits for its owners and has continued earning potential in the future. "We're proud to have restored this piece of film history," said Ron Merk, President of Premiere Pictures ... "and by selling the film, we can help filmmakers of the future."

The winning bidder will receive all rights presently owned by Premiere Pictures (www.PremierePicturesInc.com) and all future rights Premiere is entitled to under pre-existing agreements, including participation in a stage musical being developed. Also included are rare art and photo collectibles associated with the production and distribution of the film.
