Food Network Star Dave Lieberman Introduces the Winner of America's Healthy

Sandwich Showdown National Competition

Americans eat more than a billion sandwiches every year. In fact, sandwiches are now the most popular main dish served at dinner in homes across the country, according to a recent study by NPD Group, Eating Patterns in America. Not surprisingly, this adds up to more than a billion sandwiches every year. Americans love sandwiches because they taste good -- and are good for them.

A national competition has challenged Americans to put their favorite sandwiches to the test! America's Healthy Sandwich Showdown asked everyday cooks to submit their favorite healthy sandwich recipe. Tracey McCaughey from Ardmore, PA was crowned the winner for her grilled chicken with a pomegranate and caramelized onion reduction with goat cheese sandwich.

Tracey wins a trip to the birthplace of America's favorite food: Sandwich of Kent, England.
