Award Winning Short Showcases NBC Hero

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Fans of Masi Oka (Hiro Nakamura on NBC's hit series "Heroes") should be on the watch for his performance in the experimental short "God Wears My Underwear."

This complex and visually stunning film took 8 years to complete and has appeared at several international festivals since late 2005. It won Best Short Film at the DNAFF in Toronto and was recently the featured film in the New Filmmakers Showcase at DigitalCinemaReport.com.

Centering on the strange crossover history between Tibetan monks and Nazi Germany, what counts in this film is the dreamlike visual presentation and the unusual use of archival footage. Alex DeLeon at FilmFestival.com described it as "digital art occult documentary" and New Wave director Agnes Varda (The Gleaners & I, Cleo from 5 to 7) called it "brilliant."

Masi Oka plays the voice of Brother Eo, an early role during his ILM digital days. He's joined by Jacqueline Wiley ("Lavinia's Dream"), Tho Vong (from Broadway's "The King & I"), and veteran actor Pat Everett ("Coffee & Language," "Midnight Caller").
