Local Composer Pays Tribute to Emerald City With the Northwest Symphony Orchestra and a Unique Cast of Local Seattle Icons
SEATTLE, Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Today the Sapristi Guild of Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center announced its 9th annual fundraising concert, Symphony Seattle. This one-of-a-kind concert will take place in the 2,500-seat main symphony hall at Benaroya Hall in downtown Seattle on Friday, November 10th at 7 PM.
This year's concert will bring together a unique and exciting program that blends the synergy of the sights and sounds of Seattle with the remarkable rhythms and melodies of Matt Messina and orchestra. This distinctive symphony will explore all of the hidden treasures, neighborhoods and lifestyles of our great city. Special guests include: the Pike Place Fishmongers throwing salmon in time to the music, a Starbucks barista, the Seafair Pirates, Bainbridge Chorale and more. Special guests and patients of Children's Hospital will also join Matt Messina on stage, helping to bring together the Seattle theme with the symphony's mission.
"Symphony Seattle is a dedication to the Emerald City and will represent the history and culture and show why we all love Seattle and its people," said Matt Messina, the symphony's founder and composer. "With it, we hope to raise awareness for Children's Hospital and provide further funding to benefit patients and families as they try to cope during a difficult time."
This will be the Sapristi Guild's 9th annual concert, and once again helps to demonstrate the Guild's ever-increasing commitment towards ensuring all children in our region are treated regardless of their family's financial standing.
