*ontheflyfilms Brings Safe Sex Message to Young Adults/MySpace Generation
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- *ontheflyfilms has completed work on "Lab," a new socially conscious ad for Planned Parenthood Golden Gate. It airs on MTV, VH1 and TBS beginning October 20, 2006. This is the second spot in a series aimed at eighteen to twenty-four year olds to promote the message that "Safe is Sexy." The three-year-old San Francisco-based production company stands behind that messaging. Gregory Tuzin, director of both spots said, "It's great to work on a project with such a direct impact on our community. We feel that teaching people how to avoid unwanted pregnancy is vitally important." Dian Harrison, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Golden Gate adds, "Over 90% of our client visits are for family planning. Giving people the tools they need to prevent unintended pregnancies has always been our mission."
The spot was produced for Planned Parenthood Golden Gate. It will air for the next six weeks.
The Safe is Sexy Ad
A young couple attempts to use birth control and mayhem ensues. Condoms explode, birth control pills scatter across the floor, and Chinese food launches into the air. Meanwhile, it is revealed that the couple is in a lab participating in an experiment on safe sex. A researcher says:
"Meet Brad and Karen ...
a new couple, volunteering in our crash course on birth control.
They're determined to be responsible and are starting to take matters into their own hands; discovering that Safe is Sexy.
Remember, it takes two."
Tuzin commented, "We wanted to make the ad as funny as we could, while conveying the need for education and responsibility."
