Creative Broadband Builds Video 'Mixer' for UGENmedia and the Sunlight Network Political Action Site

Creative Broadband Builds Video 'Mixer' for UGENmedia and the Sunlight Network Political Action Site

NEW YORK, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- What does Congress really do? Creative Broadband (http://www.creativebroadband.com/) recently teamed with UGENmedia, Inc. and their clients, MSHC Partners and the Sunlight Network to answer that very question with the launch of http://www.congressin30seconds.com/. Creative Broadband, interactive division of New York-based Creative Bubble, produced a Flash-based video mixer with a simple, user-friendly interface that would appeal to the Congress In 30 Seconds core users base.

Based on the "transparent government" mission of the Sunlight Foundation and to drive cyber activism, the site allows users to voice their own opinions on what they feel members of Congress really do with their time -- from debating legislation and listening to their constituents or maybe even playing a round of golf. Site visitors decide.

Users are able to "mix and match" their own 30-second spot, utilizing video and music clips provided by the Sunlight Network. Visitors to the site can also overlay the spots with their own headlines, titles and taglines. The site, powered by the UGENmedia platform, allows users to upload their own video for consideration for inclusion into the mixer lineup. To increase the viral marketing impact of the campaign, the finished spots can then be uploaded to MySpace and YouTube.

Congress In 30 Seconds is part of an ad campaign sponsored by the Sunlight Network called the Punch Clock Campaign that runs through the election season. The Sunlight Network is offering members of the public a "goodwill bounty" of $1,000 for each member of Congress, and $250 for each congressional candidate, that they persuade to sign the Punch Clock Agreement, an agreement to put their daily schedules on the internet for public view.

Only one week after its launch, the website was featured on CNN's Situation Room/Online and is generating significant traffic and user postings. View the clip on YouTube -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ziw5Soa8_to.
