Azteca America Signs Network Carriage Agreement With Time Warner Cable for Markets not Carried by Over-The-Air Stations
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Azteca America, the fastest-growing Hispanic television network in the United States, is pleased to announce a network carriage agreement with Time Warner Cable, a leading provider of cable services, that provides for Azteca America carriage opportunities in areas not covered by over-the-air stations.
Under the so called "White Area Agreement," Time Warner systems across Hispanic markets in the United States with no local terrestrial Azteca America signal may elect to add Azteca America programming to their line-up.
Time Warner will also feature select programs from Azteca America as part of its "video on demand" service, making the top Azteca America shows available to customers any time they choose to watch.
"Our distribution expansion news has been a steady stream over the past 24 months, and this agreement is certainly a hallmark in our relationship with Time Warner," said Luis J. Echarte, Chairman of Azteca America Network. "We are certainly not done with bringing exciting news to our clients and partners."
