Asbury Park Convention Hall and Paramount Theatre to Hold Halloween Horrorthon, October 31

'The Return of Dracula' and Award-Winning Short Among Films to Be Shown

ASBURY PARK, N.J., Oct. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- The Asbury Park Convention Hall and Paramount Theatre will host a night of scary cinema for Halloween on Tuesday, October 31, at the Asbury Park Boardwalk. The event, produced by the Garden State Film Festival, will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature "The Return of Dracula," among other films. "The Return of Dracula" (1958) stars Jersey Shore native Norma Eberhardt as Rachel Mayberry, playing opposite Francis Lederer as the infamous bloodsucker. Also showing: the N.J. premiere of H.P. Lovecraft's The Call of Cthulhu plus scary, spooky short films and a special appearance by VideoScope Magazine's "The Phantom of the Movies," all hosted by Bill Timoney of the Garden State Film Festival.

Among the short films to be shown is "The Drip Incident," a short thriller by New Jersey director Brian Rafferty, which grabbed the Jersey Fresh Award earlier this month at the Red Bank International Film Festival ( http://www.rbiff.org/ ).
