The 2006 Super Bowl Champions, the Pittsburgh Steelers, are ranked as the number one favorite National Football League team among U-S adults who follow pro football. Though the Steelers were in the top five last year, this is their first time at the top of this list since tracking began on this topic in 1998. The Dallas Cowboys remain at number two, a position they have held since 2004. Rounding out the top five are the Indianapolis Colts, the Green Bay Packers and the New England Patriots. These are the results of a nationwide survey conducted online by Harris Interactive.

U.S. Tech Industry Adds 140,000 Jobs in 1st Half of 2006, Nearly Double the Growth From 1st Half of 2005 and the Strongest Since 2001, AeA Report Finds
A study released as the 12th installment of A-e-A's ongoing Competitiveness Series shows the U-S tech industry added over 140-thousand jobs between January and June of 2006, a 2 point 5 percent rise, for a total of 5 point 81 million. This is nearly double the 78,900 tech jobs added in the first half of 2005 and the strongest job growth of any six-month period since 2001. Nonetheless, January to June 2006 tech job growth lags that of the U-S private sector, which rose by 3 point 5 percent over that period.
