NAMIC Appoints Daphne Leroy Director of Marketing & Communications
NEW YORK, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Association for Multi- ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) announced today that Daphne M. Leroy has been named director of marketing & communications. The announcement was made by Kathy Johnson, president, NAMIC, Inc.

Leroy will manage all facets of corporate communications for the national association and the 17 nationwide chapters. Additionally, Leroy will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated marketing campaigns and branding initiatives aimed at building awareness of NAMIC and its mission.
"Daphne's experience in clearly defining and developing marketing solutions will allow us to pro-actively maintain our existing partnerships and initiate new alliances," said Johnson.
Leroy joins NAMIC from CBS Corporation and Viacom, Inc., where she held the position of Manager, Global Initiative on HIV/AIDS within the Corporate Relations, Office of the Chairman. Prior to her tenure at CBS Corporation and Viacom, Inc., Leroy held various positions spanning all marketing disciplines at companies such as Time Inc., Time Warner, (Marketing Consultant, Suede Magazine, Essence Communications Partners and Branding Director, Teen People) and MTV Networks (Director, Affiliate Marketing).
A former President of the NAMIC-New York Chapter, Leroy holds a degree in Marketing Management from Bernard M. Baruch College, City University of New York.
