Fifth Annual Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome to Benefit the Trisomy 21/ Down Syndrome Program at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia

WAYNE, Pa., Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Join more than 4,000 participants at the 5th Annual Buddy Walk for Down syndrome to benefit the Trisomy 21 Program at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia on Sunday, October 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Villanova University Stadium.

This family fun day is full of great food and entertainment for all ages and great raffle prizes. PBS KIDS Sprout, the first and only 24-hour preschool destination available on TV, on demand and online, is excited to announce that Noddy of "Make Way for Noddy(TM)" and Jay Jay the Jet Plane will appear at the event.

Kids' activities include moonbounces, facepainters, "tattoo" artists, a basketball throw with an NBA referee, soccer shoot, football toss, martial arts, jugglers, balloons and more. Participants will meet local celebrities and mascots such as the Phillie Phanatic, all while listening to the tunes of Mr. Pete and D.J. Rockin Dave.

Participants can register and pick up their Buddy Walk materials and t-shirt at 9:30 a.m. The entertainment with Noddy and Jay Jay will take place at 11:00 a.m., and the 2-mile fun walk around the stadium track begins at 11:30 a.m.

Parking is across the street on Lancaster Avenue, or handicapped access is adjacent to the stadium.
