New Musical Hit From Nick Jr.'S Award-Winning Preschool Series Dora the Explorer -- and Nick Records/Sony BMG

Dora sings songs from around the world -- inspired by the upcoming DVD release and special television episode: Dora the Explorer: World Adventure!

NEW YORK, Sept. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- On September 26, Nick Records/Sony BMG's Strategic Marketing Group will release the CD, Dora's World Adventure. With fourteen upbeat tracks from around the globe, the CD is packed with timeless, fun and danceable songs inspired by Dora's travels on the upcoming special DVD release -- and Nick Jr. special television episode, Dora the Explorer: World Adventure! The CD includes songs that parents and kids will love such as "Alouette," "De Colores," "Waltzing Matilda/Kookabura" and more!

Special guests on the album reggae sensation Ziggy Marley who joins Dora on "Three Little Birds," and Grammy award winning artist Aaron Neville, who joins Dora on "Iko Iko."

"I love doing things for kids and Dora the Explorer is a great educational tool for children. I am honored to be involved," says Ziggy Marley.

"Singing with Dora was so much fun! I can't think of a better way to teach children about different cultures than through the power of music," says Aaron Neville.

Dora The Explorer: World Adventure will arrive in stores on DVD and VHS on October 10th and will premier on Nick Jr. on November 19th at 8:00 pm. A number of songs on the album are featured in the special episode including "Previet," "Ni Hao My Friends" and "The Friendship Song."

Dora the Explorer is a play-along, animated adventure series starring Dora, a seven-year-old Latina heroine whose adventures take place in an imaginative, tropical world filled with jungles, beaches and rainforests. Dora explores her world just as preschoolers do everyday, and the show is designed to actively engage its audience in an interactive quest using a variety of learning techniques.

In every episode, Dora and Boots invite the audience to participate in an exciting adventure, where each step of their journey consists of a problem or puzzle that Dora and the audience must think their way through in order to solve the next problem. Dora is proudly bilingual and uses her knowledge of English and Spanish to communicate with her friends, overcome obstacles and reach her goals. In each episode, Dora teaches a Spanish word or phrase to the viewers and then asks them to use it to solve a problem and forge ahead. Ultimately, Dora and her best friend, Boots, triumph, and the story always ends with a "We Did It!" anthem.
