Cook County Board Presidential Candidates to Face Off in First, Televised Half-Hour Debate, Live on ABC 7 Chicago, October 26th
CHICAGO, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- ABC 7 Chicago will partner with the League of Women Voters of Cook County to present the first, televised half- hour debate between Cook County Board Presidential candidates Todd Stroger and Tony Peraica; it was announced today by Emily Barr, president and general manager, ABC 7 Chicago. This live debate will air commercial free on ABC 7 Chicago, Thursday, October 26th at 10:35 p.m.
According to Barr, "As the scrutiny in the Cook County Board Presidential race intensifies, so has voter interest. We are delighted both candidates accepted our invitation to a live debate. It provides an important forum for voters in the second largest county in the nation to hear and evaluate the candidates and their stand on the issues."
