50-Inch Plasma HDTV From Envision Peripherals Delivers Pristine Picture Quality
Envision P50H260 Features HDMI Interface, State-of-the-Art Digital Clear QAM and ATSC Tuners
FREMONT, Calif., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Envision Peripherals Inc. (EPI), home to the AOC and Envision branded displays, today set a new value standard in home theater technology with the launch of its flagship 50-inch Envision P50H260 plasma HDTV. The new wide-format display with powerful integrated speakers will join the Envision 42-inch plasma on shelves of leading independent electronics retailers and major discount chains across the U.S. this fall. The new 50-inch plasma HDTV has a suggested retail price of $2,299.
Surpassing the needs of the most discerning video enthusiasts, the Envision P50H260 features an impressive 1,000,000+ pixel (1366x768) resolution, a stunning 8,000:1 contrast ratio and a 1,200 cd/m2 brightness level that rivals the luminescence of most LCD displays. These characteristics enable the unit to provide a viewing experience that delivers the richest black levels, extended dynamic contrast and vivid real-world color rendering.
As attractive as it is functional, the P50H260 demands attention with its bold design and polished all-black gloss finish, making it a perfect fit for contemporary home settings or conservative office spaces. Despite its eye-catching looks, the sleek 3.4-inch profile unit almost vanishes when mounted to a wall or set atop the included stand. Best of all, this dynamic display can be enjoyed from virtually any point in a room with its 160 degree viewing angle.
Offering compatibility with the latest in HDTV broadcasting standards, the Envision 50-inch plasma includes state-of-the-art Clear QAM and ATSC tuners for accurately decoding digital transmissions from cable, satellite and over the air sources without requiring a separate set-top receiver box.
Ensuring the highest-quality home entertainment experience, the new Envision standard-bearer incorporates a High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) which simplifies cabling and delivers crystal-clear, all-digital video and audio. For consumers interested in adding to the P50H260's powerful 20-watt speaker system, the unit digitally links to any cutting-edge home theater surround sound system with the included S/PDIF digital audio interface, providing the best possible listening experience. In all, up to eight separate devices, including Blu-ray(TM) players, DVR devices and gaming systems can be connected to the P50H260 simultaneously.
Additionally, the unit can serve as a computer monitor by attaching a PC directly to its integrated VGA connector. This also enables the P50H260 to be used for digital signage applications in retail environments and for video conferencing at the office.
The P50H260 is easily configured with the included ergonomically designed multi-function remote control. A multiple picture mode offers normal, zoom, wide and cinema options. A parental control V-chip, support for closed captioning and electronic program guide (EPG) round out the features.
The Envision P50H260 50-inch plasma will debut at this year's CEDIA event on September 14-17 in Denver, CO along with the new Envision L32W461 32-inch
and L27W461 27-inch LCD HDTVs. EPI products are available though leading national retailers and select online outlets.
