Palm Beach International Film Festival Casts TransMedia Group in PR/Marketing Role
Wants County's Largest PR Firm to Tell Often Overlooked Story of What The Festival Has Contributed to Local Schools, Tourism and Cultural Life
BOCA RATON, Fla., Aug. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- TransMedia Group announces it has been retained to do public relations and fundraising for Palm Beach County's premiere cultural event, the internationally acclaimed Palm Beach International Film Festival (PBIFF), considered among the top 25 film festivals in the country.
"We're honored to have the privilege of representing one of the most respected film festivals in the country," said TransMedia's founder and chairman, Thomas J. Madden, who is himself a part-time independent filmmaker.
Madden said it was inevitable that Palm Beach County's largest film festival and its largest public relations firm would come together.
"Given a choice between promoting a Chevy or a Rolls, we prefer representing the Rolls Royce of South Florida's film festivals," he said. "PBIFF has contributed nearly $1 million to county schools in the past 11 years and has become a cultural beacon attracting visitors from throughout the world to Palm Beach County."
PBIFF Executive Director Randi Emerman said it was time for PBIFF to retain one of the leading PR firms in Florida "to tell the sometimes overlooked story of what our film festival contributes annually to our local economy and to our public schools and to the cultural life of our community.
"Our Board Chair Yvonne Boice and I believe that because TransMedia is so expert in community service campaigns that it is the ideal firm to be telling this important aspect of our story."
