ACME, Mich., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing to celebrate the completion of $11 million in renovations, Grand Traverse Resort & Spa, near Traverse City, Mich. has announced that it will host the Nickelodeon Great Family Fun Festival, March 30 - April 1, 2007.

The first-time Nickelodeon Great Family Fun Festival is a weekend celebration designed and priced specifically for families. The two-day celebration will feature two live performances of the famous Nickelodeon Game Lab(R), a special kids carnival, activities with Nickelodeon characters including SpongeBob, Patrick, Dora the Explorer, Blue, Jimmy Neutron, and Grand Traverse Resort & Spa's loveable mascot Bogey Bear.

For as low as $95 per person (based on quad occupancy in the hotel), the weekend festival includes two nights accommodations at the newly renovated Grand Traverse Resort & Spa, and kicks-off with a Friday night Pool Party featuring the "SpongeBob Photo Splash(R)" and other characters from the famous SpongeBob cartoon. On Saturday, the fun continues with a special Kids Carnival, Blue's Clues Walkabout(R), two live performances of the Nickelodeon Game Lab, and concludes with a Kids "Dippin Dinner" and Nickelodeon Movies. The festival concludes Sunday morning with a special Breakfast with the Characters.

Additionally, the adults attending the festival will be offered special discounts at Spa Grand Traverse and will have full access to the Resort's two indoor pools, health club, tennis center, Gallery of Shops, and award-winning restaurants.

7-9 pm Pool Party with SpongeBob & Patrick -- An event that
features poolside fun & games with the SpongeBob
characters & Bogey Bear. The party will also feature
the SpongeBob Photo Splash, a chance for kids to have
their photo taken with an under the sea inflatable
SpongeBob SquarePants costume character.

Saturday, March 31
11 am - 5 pm Kids Carnival

12-1:00 pm Blue's Clues Walkabout -- An interactive experience that
gives kids the chance to meet their favorite blue puppy
from Nick Jr.'s award-winning preschool series.

1-2 pm Nickelodeon Game Lab (1st performance) -- An event that
brings all the wacky interactive games and stunts made
famous on Nickelodeon's most popular shows. Kids and
adults are picked from the audience to go up on stage
for the crazy, messy, action with one lucky kid getting
"slimed" at the end of each show.

4-5 pm Nickelodeon Game Lab (2nd performance)

6-8:30 pm Kids "Dippin Dinner" and movies
