CYIOS Submits Proposal to the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of the American Indian
WASHINGTON, Aug. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CYIOS Corporation (BULLETIN BOARD: CYIO) announced today that the company has submitted a proposal to perform work for the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of the American Indian's Film and Video Center.
The National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) has three locations with the Film and Video Center (FVC) located at the George Gustav Heye Center (GGHC) in New York City. The FVC presents screenings of Native productions and information services concerning Native films, video, radio, television, and electronic media throughout the Americas. The NMAI's FVC is also responsible for a bi-annual Native American Film and Video Festival which is internationally recognized as one of the major showcases of Native American works. In addition, the FVC has developed professional meetings for Native Americans in media and produced a unique Web site on Native American media: www.nativenetworks.si.edu.
CYIOS Corporation proposes to develop an information management application and an underlying database that will store NMAI FVC's collections information. CYIOS would create an application that would provide the FVC staff with tools and automated workflow processes that would document the bi-annual film festival selection process. CYIOS' tool would provide the FVC staff with a means to track associated source and contact information, which includes collection-related, distribution-related, professional contact-related, and public relations/audience-related. This project would also include CYIOS providing the FVC staff with a query and reporting tool built into the application and a means for exporting information to ensure easier integration with external Web sites, most importantly the Native Network's Web site.
In staying the course with its aggressive plans to write a minimum of one proposal per month, with the goal of two, CYIOS has now written three proposals since June, all with expected award dates in September and October. CYIOS now has a full-time bid and proposal team who are solely dedicated to finding the right opportunities and teaming partners to create a winning environment. CYIOS also announced that while it looked forward to the awarding of DHS EAGLE contract to small businesses on or before July 31, 2006, the company was asked to accept and acknowledge a price proposal extension through August 31, 2006, as DHS needed more time to review the proposals. Therefore the company does expect DHS to award the Small Business component of the EAGLE contract this month.
CEO Timothy Carnahan stated: "We're proud to bring our DoD experience over to the Smithsonian Institute -- National Museum of the American Indian. There are many lessons learned that can be transferred into our proposed solution that will save time and money. Moreover, CYIOS is positioning to become a Government contractor that can cross the boundaries of agencies to accomplish sharing technological solutions and business process improvement best practices due to our internal knowledge management system."
