News Reporting is Perceived as Biased, though Less Agreement on Whether it is Liberal or Conservative Bias
The Harris Polll says over six in ten U-S adults agree that there is bias in the reporting of news, though there is less agreement as to whether there is a liberal or conservative bias. Furthermore, viewers of talk shows say that the hosts of these shows are equally critical of Republicans and Democrats. Greater numbers of adults say they turn to C-N-N and FOX News most often when seeking news or information about public affairs or politics.

Monster 2006 All-Star Final Vote Ballot Now Available on MLB.com
American and National All-Star team managers Ozzie Guillen and Phil Garner, in conjunction with Major League Baseball, have announced the candidates for the Monster 2006 All-Star Final Vote on M-L-B.com, the official website of Major League Baseball, and E-S-P-N.com.
Now in its fifth-year, the Monster 2006 All-Star Final Vote gives baseball fans around the world an opportunity to select the final player on each All- Star Team. In addition, fans will again be able to cast their Final Man vote via their cell phones.
Balloting for the Monster 2006 All-Star Final Vote continues until six p-m Eastern on Thursday, July sixth. The winners will be announced on E-S-P-N and M-L-B.com shortly thereafter.
The five candidates for the final positional roster spot on the 2006 American League All-Star Team are: Travis Hafner, Designated Hitter for the Cleveland Indians; Ramon Hernandez, Catcher for the Baltimore Orioles; Francisco Liriano, Pitcher for the Minnesota Twins; A-J Pierzynski, Catcher for the Chicago White Sox; and Justin Verlander, Pitcher for the Detroit Tigers.
On the National League side, the five players on the ballot for the final roster spot are: Bobby Abreu, Outfielder for the Philadelphia Phillies; Chris Capuano, Pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers; Nomar Garciaparra, First Baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers; Billy Wagner, Pitcher for the New York Mets; and Chris Young, Pitcher for the San Diego Padres.
