O Say, Can You Sing, Toledo?

* Two out of three Americans don't know the words to the national anthem
* Jeep(R) brand sponsors multi-year campaign to re-teach Americans the
words to 'The Star-Spangled Banner'
* Toledo City Council President helps Jeep welcome the National Anthem
Project to its hometown

WHAT:
The 2006 National Anthem Project (NAP) Road Show is stopping in Toledo,
hometown of the project's National Presenting Sponsor, Jeep(R). According
to a Harris Poll, two out of three Americans don't know the words to the
national anthem. Led by the National Association for Music Education
(MENC), the world's largest arts education association, the NAP is on a
nationwide tour to re-teach Americans the historical relevance and words
of the National Anthem, while spotlighting the importance of music
education. First Lady Laura Bush serves as the Honorary Chairperson.

Highlights of the road show include:
* A concert performance by students from Central Catholic High School's
(Toledo) Acapella Group
* The National Anthem Project All-Star Contest for kids and adults alike,
in which one winner will be awarded a $1,000 donation to his/her local
music program and given the opportunity to perform at a 2007 concert in
Washington, D.C.
* Interactive activities that teach about the historical significance of
the national anthem
* Jeep exhibit featuring a patriotic-themed Jeep Liberty and Jeep Grand
Cherokee
* The chance for attendees to "go anywhere, do anything" with Jeep by
having their photo taken as "the man on the moon"
