The Company Also Announces the Retirement of Long-Time Navarre Board Member Dickinson G. Wiltz

MINNEAPOLIS, July 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Navarre Corporation (NASDAQ:NAVR), a publisher and distributor of a broad range of physical and digital home entertainment and multimedia products, today announced that it has nominated Deborah L. Hopp to stand for election to the Navarre board at the Company's annual shareholders' meeting September 14, 2006.

Ms. Hopp currently serves as vice president of publishing for MSP Communications and publisher of Mpls.St.Paul Magazine. As a senior operational executive at the magazine's parent company, her responsibilities include business development and revenue operations and strategy. Prior to her current role, Ms. Hopp was the publisher of Twin Cities Reader, Twin Cities Business Monthly, and Skyway Publications. Ms. Hopp currently serves as the chairperson of the Minneapolis Downtown Council as well as serves on the boards of The University of Minnesota Foundation, the Minnesota Women's Campaign Fund, The United Way, The Minnesota Orchestral Association, and The Walker Art Center.

In addition, the Company also announced that Michael L. Snow and Richard Gary St. Marie will stand for re-election at the September 14th meeting.
