Luis Palau Announces Entertainment for CityFest Houston; Free, Family Festival October 7 & 8

HOUSTON, July 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Luis Palau Festivals has announced its entertainment line-up for CityFest Houston, a free, family-friendly celebration coming to Eleanor Tinsley Park in downtown Houston on October 7th and 8th from noon to 10 pm. Attracting more than 5 million people since 1999 from South Florida to South America, the Luis Palau Festivals changed contemporary evangelism with "Great music and Good News."

Headlining CityFest Houston is:

Saturday, October 7 - 5:30 pm-10 pm - Luis Palau, Michelle Williams, Hawk Nelson, Kirk Franklin and Matt Maher

Sunday, October 8 - 5:30 pm-10 pm - Luis Palau, Wynonna Judd and Chris Tomlin

For the first time, CityFest will incorporate Spanish-language-only programs Oct. 7th and 8th from 2:45 pm to 5:30 pm featuring: Luis Palau, Marcos Witt and Jose Luis "El Puma" Rodriquez.

Produced in partnership with area churches, CityFest Houston also will showcase the Sports Zone, sponsored by the Houston Texans, Houston Astros and Houston Aeros. For extreme sports enthusiasts, there is the Livin It action sports tour at 1 pm and 3:15 pm featuring actor/filmmaker Stephen Baldwin and pro athletes from the "action sports" of skateboarding, BMX and FMX biking in an 8,000-square-foot skate park built specifically for the festival. Other highlights include: the Texas Children's Hospital Community Care Health Fair, the H-E-B Food Courts, and the Kids Block Party with games, the A.D. Players, face painting and JUMP -- the high-energy children's ministry from Second Baptist Church.
