Grizzly Adams(R) Family Entertainment Supports West Coast Flight 93 Memorial

SPOKANE, Wash., July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Grizzly Adams(R) Family Entertainment announced today that it has donated 500 copies of its DVD production of "Portrait of Courage: The Untold Story of Flight 93" to the Flight 93 Memorial now under construction in Union City, California just outside San Francisco. Copies can be purchased at the Union Landing Shopping Center beginning this Saturday. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of DVDs, estimated to be over $5,000, will go directly to the construction of the Memorial which is scheduled for completion and dedication in October 2006. Flight 93 family members have supported and approved this Memorial from its conception.

"The plane's original destination was the San Francisco Airport," says Michael L. Emerson, the Memorial's Project Manager. "Most of the passengers and crew lived, worked, or grew up in the San Francisco Bay area, so we feel it is appropriate to build a Memorial in the San Francisco Bay area to honor and remember them."

"Grizzly Adams Family Entertainment (GAFE) is extremely proud to be involved with the efforts to build this Memorial in California," says Ray Pipella, President of GAFE. "It is our honor to support both Flight 93 Memorials. On September 5, 2006 we will release a Commemorative Edition of 'Portrait of Courage: The Untold Story of Flight 93' and a portion of the proceeds from copies sold will be donated to the National Memorial located in Pennsylvania."

About the Memorial:

This Memorial proposes a space with feelings of remembrance for loved ones lost, and thoughts of a positive hope for the future. This Memorial proposes a remembrance stone to be crafted and placed in a flowing line for each individual person whose life was lost on Flight 93. It exemplifies that each person was more than just a moment in history, or just linked to such a horrifying event. The Memorial proposes to put a face to each soul lost on that fateful flight.

Each individual's name, age, and hometown will be engraved on each stone. The stones will have a niche carved on the front side with a polished stainless steel mirror to reflect the viewer's own image to signify that it could have been any one of us aboard Flight 93 that day.
