Trident's HiDTV(TM) Powers Haier's New ATSC LCD TVs
SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Trident Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ:TRID) a worldwide leader in the development of advanced digital TV technology for the consumer digital video marketplace, today announced that Haier, China's leading consumer electronics brand, has chosen Trident's HiDTV(TM) and SVP(TM) EX ten-bit video processor featuring the Digital Cinema Reality Engine (DCRe(TM)) to power its new family of ATSC LCD TVs for North America. The first models, the 26-inch HLH26ATBB and 32-inch HLH32ATBB, are now available and will soon be followed by two additional 42-inch models, 42EP25BAT and 42HP25BAT.
