Interactive Television Networks, Inc., Expands Into Key Asia Pacific Markets

Leading Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) Provider Grows Into Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan With ITVN Asia

IRVINE, Calif., June 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Interactive Television Networks, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: ITTV) (ITVN), a leader in Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), today announced the launch of its ITVN Asia service.

"We are very excited to introduce ITVN's revolutionary technology to the Asian market," said Noah Lieberman, Managing Director of ITVN Asia. "We anticipate a robust response to ITVN in these markets, as the high speed internet infrastructure in the Asia Pacific region has enjoyed widespread development, especially in countries such as Japan where IPTV customers enjoy fiber-optic cable at speeds up to 100 Mbps."

By the end of 2007, everyone in Japan will have access to high speed internet, according to a plan by the Japanese government.

As part of their multi-year agreement, ITVN Asia has pre-purchased ITVN subscription services and hardware as well as committed to short and long term subscriber targets.

"We are pleased to be able to extend the ITVN brand into these new markets," said Charles Prast, CEO of ITVN. "ITVN Asia users will initially enjoy Silver Screen, which delivers the Golden Age of Cinema to their home television. In addition to Silver Screen, ITVN Asia plans to launch additional music, movie, sports and video game channels."

What is IPTV?

IPTV is broadcast-quality television delivered over standard home broadband Internet. While offering the same quality as satellite or cable, IPTV has many advantages, such as virtually limitless programming and on-demand content because only channels selected by consumers are delivered over home broadband networks. All content-including HDTV-can be distributed on a subscription or pay-per-view basis with content promotion integrated into the user experience. Best of all, IPTV offers true interactivity for the customer, allowing two-way communication with services comparable to the Web, creating a better environment for users, programmers and advertisers.

About ITVN

ITVN manufactures a low-cost, compact set-top-box that links the home television to IPTV networks and services without the need for a personal computer. In addition, ITVN is a provider of proprietary interactive content networks delivered to the television over home broadband. ITVN owns or controls all aspects of its business from content licenses, management, billing, and streaming software to its low-cost compact set-top-box.

ITVN is making IPTV relevant to the everyday consumer by offering a growing number of niche-market networks while keeping the service affordable. Current and future networks include movie channels, music channels, news channels, and many other options where the overall viewing environment is enhanced by ITVN's true interactivity.

In October of 2005, ITVN was named the "Innovator of the Year" at DigitalLife, a three-day consumer event produced by Ziff Davis Media. For more information please visit www.itvn.com.
