HickoryTech Approved to Provide Digital TV to City of Eagle Lake

Community Invited to Celebrate at 'Party in the Park' on June 19

MANKATO, Minn., June 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- HickoryTech Corporation (NASDAQ:HTCO) announced the availability of Digital TV service for residents in the City of Eagle Lake. The Eagle Lake City Council unanimously approved a cable television franchise agreement on June 5. With services available to the entire community immediately on a stand-alone basis or as part of a money- saving bundle, HickoryTech is the first and only company to offer Eagle Lake residents Digital TV, high-speed DSL, local telephone, and long distance all from one local company and on one bill.

A "Party in the Park" event is scheduled for June 19 to highlight the company's presence and dedication to the community. Eagle Lake residents are invited to enjoy an evening in the park with food, games for children, Digital TV demonstrations and free prizes. This event will be held from 4-7 p.m. at the Eagle Lake Elementary School.
