Spectacular Displays of Pyrotechnics Planned for the City and Countryside
PHILADELPHIA, June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Philadelphia, America's birthplace, is painting the town -- and the sky -- red, white and blue with dozens of fireworks displays throughout the region over the long Fourth of July weekend. Here's a look at what's in store:
-- Throngs of visitors and locals alike congregate on the Benjamin
Franklin Parkway on the Fourth of July for the finale of the
eight-day Sunoco Welcome America! Festival. R&B powerhouse
Lionel Richie headlines the Sunoco Sweet Sounds of Liberty Concert,
which reaches its crescendo with a star-spangled pyrotechnic

-- The PECO Boathouse Bash on June 27 celebrates the first anniversary
of the relighting of picturesque Boathouse Row with a day-long
