Cutting Edge Telco ANEW Broadband in South Florida Now Offering IPTV Services To Multi-Dwelling Properties

DORAL, Fla., June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- ANEW Broadband, the Miami-based South Florida telecommunications services provider, announced today the launch of "ANEW Vision", a triple-play service offering designed for multi-dwelling buildings, condominiums and communities in South Florida. The triple-play is the bundling of IPTV television, full-service IP telephone services with unlimited domestic long distance, and up to 8 MB of high speed broadband internet services.

As consolidation continues in the telecommunications industry, the large phone operators are going head-to-head with cable companies in trying to seal the triple-play type offerings with IPTV services. Some cable companies have already implemented Voice-over-IP services along with their cable TV and Internet data services. "Our unique multi-play offering 'ANEW Vision' combines high-speed internet, Broadband television with basic package starting at 105 channels of pure 100% digital quality television and music, and unlimited full-service telephone service plans," said Daniel Contreras, CEO of ANEW Broadband.

"The market is constantly changing. The driving force of this business strategy is the consumer's search for 'the optimum triple play deal' in one bundled and affordable bill. Our research indicated that simply touting 'one bill and bundled discounts' wasn't enough. ANEW Vision provides substantial benefits to resident subscribers by reducing their monthly payments while increasing their choices in purchasing programming. It combines different service features in a seamless way to build an 'experience oriented' package that fits the distinctive needs and lifestyles of various vertical MDU/ communities and residential segments in South Florida," said Carlos Lopez, CMO of ANEW Broadband.

According to a recent US telecom analysis, by 2010, more than half of broadband households will subscribe to a triple or quadruple-play. At the end of 2005, about 39% of U.S. Broadband households opted for a bundle, and the majority of them had a dual-play service including broadband and telephone service. Annual revenue from bundled services in the U.S. could reach $119.5 billion by 2010. Despite the promulgation of various regulations challenges surrounding access to the local loop continue to hinder efficient and effective broadband deployment. The need for competitive telecom operators to have adequate access to broadband infrastructure, and the desire to maintain end-to-end control over facilities and quality of service, has led the company away from outdated legacy models towards a full service network IP service company. ANEW Broadband offers a wide range of services across voice & data services, managed services and consulting. Their focus on providing unique broadband, new data applications and value added IP services for both fixed and wireless communications is beginning to pay-off.

"Non-incumbent Telcos using old legacy models have to recognize that even if they are successful in the short term, their future market is limited by the price and margin erosion and the growing trend towards Multi-Play service strategies like ANEW Vision. The transition to next-generation video, voice and data services will generate additional revenues (ARPU) from our existing infrastructure. We believe that this is a growing market driven by increasing consumer demand for faster broadband services and the lack of ubiquitous cable modem and DSL availability in South Florida. In addition, triple play services -- bundled offerings of TV, phone and Internet -- have proven effective in reducing customer churn and in achieving additional economies of scale while increasing revenue growth," stated Daniel Contreras of ANEW Broadband.

"The complete integration of all our network with presence in the NAP of the Americas into one global IP-based system allows us to extend our reach beyond South Florida and into other markets. Network consolidation for multiple-play services reduces operational costs but brings new challenges as well. ANEW Vision centralizes the aggregation of local and national TV programming content and offers hundreds of video and audio channels in full digital quality. ANEW Vision provides substantial benefits to resident subscribers by increasing their choices in purchasing programming. Our digitally modulated signals system involves a minimal additional investment to adapt the existing network infrastructures of buildings or communities and involves no disturbance of present analog Legacy services," stated Paul Choiseul, CTO of ANEW Broadband.
