The Art Institute of Houston to host Project Runway Season 3 Houston Pre-Premiere Party!

Wednesday, June 28th 6:30-9pm

HOUSTON, June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The Art Institute of Houston is proud to host Bravo TV and Time Warner Cable's PROJECT RUNWAY Season 3 Houston Pre- Premiere Party on Wednesday, June 28, from 6:30-9pm at The Art Institute of Houston, at 1900 Yorktown Street. Guests will include Houston's fashion and retail industry elite as well as die-hard fans of the show.

In conjunction with the party, the college is announcing their newest Bachelor of Science degree program in Fashion & Retail Management -- with classes starting October 2006.

The premiere party begins with a cocktail reception, followed by a fashion show featuring Chloe Dao, winner from Season 2, and works from other local designers. Dao will then take the stage for a Q&A session where she will discuss behind-the-scenes details from Season 2. Then all guests will enjoy a sneak peek of what to expect from the new season of Project Runway!

"Chloe Dao, along with other amazing local designers, is really putting Houston on the fashion map!" says Larry Horn, President of The Art Institute of Houston. "Our city's retail industry has been growing so much in the fashion retail market. We expect our new program to be a popular one."

The Fashion & Retail Management program at The Art Institute of Houston will offer a bachelor's-level education across disciplines in business, fashion, and design. This cross-functional focus will allow students to prepare for entry-level positions beyond traditional fashion design and seek out opportunities in manufacturing, retail management, buying and merchandising, fashion publicity, and even business ownership. The degree program lasts 12 quarters and contains 180 credits.
