GREENWICH, Conn., June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Annual Celebration hosted by world renown non-profit, China Care, will be held on Saturday July 1, 2006 in Greenwich, Connecticut. Rock 'n' roll legends, The Allman Brothers and Bonnie Raitt, will be the featured performers at the Foundation's annual fundraising event. A long list of celebrities is expected to attend the gala, which also includes a five course meal and silent auction.

Back by popular demand, the foundation is expected to generate over $1,000,000. Last year's event was a huge success, raising over $900,000, all of which went directly to the children. The rock n' roll legends join an impressive list of alumni performers, including, Carlos Santana, Cheryl Crow, BB King and Robert Randolph and the Family Band.

"This event is not only a one of a kind party; it is our major fundraising endeavor of the year. It is a chance to show our greatest supporters the impact that their support has had, and allow us to continue to grow our programs. And because the entire event is underwritten by the Board of Directors, every penny raised goes directly to our programs. The party will not only be a spectacular evening, it will also make possible an array of programs that will change hundreds of lives," states Matt Dalio, President and Founder, China Care Foundation.

The China Care Foundation is a non-profit foundation based in Westport, Connecticut. China Care strives to help orphaned Chinese children realize a better life through improved healthcare, housing, education, foster care and providing financial aid for adopting families. The China Care Foundation came to life in 2000 when a young man named Matt Dalio decided he wanted to make a difference. After living in China for a year at age eleven, Matt returned home to Greenwich, Connecticut and never forgot the many orphaned special needs children that crossed his path. At age fifteen, he decided he could make a difference in these children's lives a world away and a foundation was born.
