ARLINGTON, Va., May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Country music superstar Toby Keith will soon depart on his fourth USO tour to perform for troops in Germany and the Persian Gulf region. A strong supporter of the military and the USO, Keith traveled last year to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Germany; Belgium; Iraq and Afghanistan, giving a number of performances, including at remote locations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Ranked Top Country Artist by Billboard, Keith formed his own independent label, Show Dog Records, last year. He released his latest album, "White Trash with Money," in April, which included the chart topper "Get Drunk and Be Somebody."

Keith has received numerous awards, including the 2004 Country Music Association (CMA) Award for Music Video of the Year for "As Good as I Once Was." In 2004, he was awarded the CMA Award for Video of the Year for "American Soldier." The native Oklahoman was named Oklahoman of the Year in 2004 and last year was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.

This tour continues a 65-year tradition begun in 1941, when the USO was founded and the first USO Camp Shows brought entertainment to troops mobilizing for World War II. Some of the celebrities who have participated on USO tours over the past few years include Robin Williams, Gary Sinise, James Gandolfini, Drew Carey, David Letterman and Jessica Simpson. AT&T, Inc. is the official telecommunications sponsor of USO entertainment tours.
