BTi Attendant Solutions to Automate Live Scores and Sports News Tickers for SportsNet New York

FRANKLIN, Tenn., May 1 /PRNewswire/ -- SportsNet New York (SNY), the television home of the New York Mets and Jets, has selected Attendant Solutions from BTi to automate the collection and on air delivery of up-to-the minute sports scores and other data. BTi News Update Attendant will seamlessly integrate SNY's high-definition graphics infrastructure with leading real-time data sources to create a continuously updated graphics ticker for the network.

"Today's sophisticated viewing audience has many outlets for updated information," said Jay Wasack, president of BTi. "By combining a stunning HD presentation of locally appealing sports events and programming with the real- time data delivery offered by BTi News Update, SportsNet New York is delivering a powerful and unique package."

"SportsNet New York is intent on becoming the destination network for sports fans in the New York and Tri-State area - and one of the keys to that is delivering a stream of real-time sports information," said Michelle Murray, News Director for SportsNet New York. "BTi Attendant Solutions are a vital part of the successful workflow and a great fit for our new HD production facility and mission in New York."

BTi News Attendant automatically captures, formats and plays to air real- time data from almost any wire- or web-based source. News Attendant enhances the capability of existing graphics systems, such as the Vizrt equipment selected by SportsNet New York, by turning a constant stream of raw data selected by the user into real-time data and formatting it so that it is ready for instant playout to air as part of a sophisticated on air graphics look. BTi News Update Attendant eliminates repetitive, manual processes, freeing operator and equipment resources for other productive tasks.

SportsNet New York will use BTI News Attendant to capture data from service provider SportsTicker, which is then delivered as a continuous stream of relevant information to the viewing audience.
