Ed Burns, Actor, Writer, Director, and Producer Featured in the Nautica(R) Brand's New Navigate life(TM) Advertising Campaign

NEW YORK, April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The Nautica(R) brand announced today that Ed Burns will appear in its Navigate life(TM) global marketing campaign. The new advertising campaign will feature the acclaimed actor, writer, director, producer and father in a series of ads as he navigates through life situations and showcases his ability to transition from business to an active lifestyle. The brand first featured a celebrity in its ads with the launch of the Navigate life(TM) campaign last February with actor Thomas Jane. Continuing from last year's theme, the Navigate life(TM) campaign will celebrate life's travels, adventures and relationships and depicts the spirit of a man of style who takes advantage of life by merging work and play.

Laird + Partners, a New York-based agency, created the Navigate life(TM) campaign to portray Ed Burns balancing life in a multitude of settings transitioning from work to enjoying time on the boat, on the golf course and on the beach. Photographed by Peggy Sirota on location in San Diego, the imagery offers a perfect destination to capture the timeless, energetic lifestyle of the Nautica(R) brand's consumer.

Ed Burns entertains audiences as actor, writer, director and producer. He was lauded by critics and audience alike for his first feature, "The Brothers McMullen," which premiered in competition at the 1995 Sundance Film Festival, winning the Grand Jury Prize. Burns wrote, directed and starred in the film, which was shot on a budget of only $25,000 and went on to gross over $10 million at the domestic box office, making it the most profitable film of 1995. Burns's second film which he wrote, directed, produced and starred in was the romantic comedy "She's The One," with Jennifer Aniston and Cameron Diaz.
