MIAMI, April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Starting today, Burger King Corporation (BKC) entices restaurant guests with two new additions to its breakfast menu, the French Toast Sandwich and CHEESY TOTS(TM).

The French Toast Sandwich features two slices of cinnamon and maple- flavored French toast bread, one folded omelet egg, melted American cheese and a HAVE IT YOUR WAY(R) choice of thinly sliced ham, sausage or crispy bacon. New bite-size CHEESY TOTS feature a golden, crispy outside and smooth, melted mozzarella and cheddar cheeses with potato bits inside. These items are the latest in a series of additions to the BURGER KING(R) breakfast menu, including the Enormous Omelet Sandwich and BK JOE(R), a "hard-working" coffee now brewing at BURGER KING restaurants nationwide in decaf, regular and "Turbo"-strength.

"This is the way the King gets sweet in the morning - thick French toast with real cinnamon and maple flavor through and through, fluffy omelet egg, melted American cheese and new thinly sliced ham or a choice of two other meats and you have a sweet, savory and satisfying breakfast made your way," says Denny Marie Post, chief concept officer, Burger King Corporation. "And new CHEESY TOTS are the ultimate, craveable side item. When we were testing them, we always had to make them twice because the first batch would disappear. They are unbelievably good."

Both the French Toast Sandwich and CHEESY TOTS are special limited-time- only menu items, available while supplies last. The French Toast Sandwich is available at a suggested price of $2.19 and can be paired with a small BK JOE and hash browns for a recommended price of $3.19. Guests can choose to substitute CHEESY TOTS in any breakfast Value Meal for 50 cents more or order individually in small, medium and large sizes, with suggested price ranging from $1.29 to $1.79.

To help launch the new French Toast Sandwich, the popular and surprising King will be back starring in a new 15- and 30-second television spot created by Crispin Porter + Bogusky entitled "Wake Up the King."
