ABC 7 CHICAGO Unveils Its New State Street Studio on Monday, April 10

WHO: ABC 7's Hosea Sanders, Judy Hsu, Tracy Butler and Roz Varon will
welcome several Chicago dignitaries and special performances to the
station's new sidewalk studio site. In addition, ABC's Robin
Roberts will be in Chicago to do live cut-ins for Good Morning
America, and to debut the State Street Studio to a national
audience.

WHAT: ABC 7 CHICAGO will debut its State Street Studio with a special
edition of ABC 7 NEWS THIS MORNING from 5:00-7:00 AM.

WHEN: Monday, April 10, 2006

6:10 a.m. approx. Interview with Mayor Daley
6:45 a.m. Ribbon Cutting - ABC 7 President & General Manager Emily
Barr, Mayor Richard Daley
** Street-side performances from 5:00-7:00 a.m. include Blue Man
Group, Jesse White Tumblers, Disney star Christy Carlson Romano,
the Renewed Voices for Christ Gospel Choir and much more.

(State Street will be closed from Randolph to Lake St. from
5-7 a.m.)

WHY: The new State Street Studio is the first of its kind in Chicago --
and promises to be the new downtown destination point in this
historic area.

Fun Facts:

-- The studio is unique to Chicago featuring a direct view of the anchor
desk and the live news broadcasts.

-- In 1984, Oprah Winfrey came to WLS-TV as the host of A.M. Chicago,
broadcasting her first talk show out of the very same space.

-- The studio showcases a video sculpture that stands 42 feet tall, 8
feet wide and features computer graphics, animation and live video.
It weighs 15,000 lbs.

-- The State Street Studio stands in what was originally a vaudeville
house built in 1919 by architects C.W. Rapp and George L. Rapp.
