First Annual Spring Game Festival to Feature American Idol Finalist and Tally Hall
ANN ARBOR, Mich., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Performances by American Idol finalist Kimberly Caldwell and homegrown rock band Tally Hall will highlight the first annual Michigan Spring Game Festival, which will be hosted across from Michigan Stadium on the front lawn of Pioneer High School. The festival will take place immediately following the University of Michigan's annual spring football game, Saturday, April 15th (time TBA).
Caldwell was a finalist in the second season of the popular reality show American Idol. Currently an on air personality for TV Guide Channel, Caldwell has blossomed into a seasoned entertainment correspondent in addition to her talents as a performer. A co-host of two weekly talk shows, "TV Chat" and "Idol Tonight," Caldwell has appeared as a red carpet correspondent at Hollywood's biggest events, including the Grammys, the Academy Awards, the Emmys, and the Golden Globes. A regular guest on "Showbiz Tonight," Caldwell is in the process of recording an album in association with Randy Jackson and Diane Warren. For more information, visit http://kimberly-caldwell.com/ .
Tally Hall needs no introduction in Ann Arbor. The city's most talked about band in years, Tally Hall recently released its critically acclaimed debut CD "Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum." A band whose style defies easy definition, Tally Hall is constantly touring and welcoming new legions of fans to what they describe as "Wonk rock," a mixture of jamming, constant energy and fun. Tally Hall's performance will break up a heavy month of touring in which the band will play 20 shows in 28 days. The band is also featured in an episode of the popular television drama "The OC" on April 6, 2006. For more information, visit http://tallyhall.com/ .
Admission to the festival also includes complimentary hot dogs and drinks, a performance by the Michigan Cheerleading team, autograph signings by former Michigan football players, carnival games and sports contests. A portion of the festival's proceeds will be donated to the Ann Arbor Public School District.
