Rochester International Jazz Festival Announces Festival Lineup - June 9-17, 2006
ROCHESTER, N.Y., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The fifth annual Rochester International Jazz Festival presented by Heluva Good Quality Foods, returns June 9-17, 2006. The spectacular nine-day event features over 170 concerts and 600 musicians representing more than a dozen countries.
Woody Allen and His New Orleans Jazz Band open the Festival June 9th in a rare performance outside New York City that is an exclusive benefit for the New Orleans Musicians Hurricane Relief Fund. Other stars include the godfather of soul James Brown, Phil Woods, McCoy Tyner, Toots Thielemans, Wayne Shorter, Susan Tedeschi, Etta James, Little Feat, Soulive and Dickey Betts.
Tickets for headliner shows go on sale April 7 at all Ticketmaster outlets, http://www.ticketmaster.com/, and http://www.rochesterjazz.com/. Show prices are $15-$95 plus service charge. Club Passes provide access to more than 120 club shows and are on sale now at the same locations for $95 plus service charge. Individual club shows are $15-25 cover at the door only.

The festival also offers more than 50 free concerts including the new Museum and Gallery Family Series, presented by Rochester Area Community Foundation, at the Memorial Art Gallery, George Eastman House and on the Mary Jemison Riverboat.
