With Aplus.Net and TiVo, Viewing Digital Photos Is a Snap!

Aplus.Net Joins Forces With TiVo to Provide an Easy Means of Viewing Digital Photos

SAN DIEGO, March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Aplus.Net is the first company to fully integrate its photo storage service, Web-a-Photo(TM) (www.web-a-photo.com), with a TiVo(R) Digital Video Recorder. With this new development, TiVo users can now view all of their photos stored online on their television screen. Photos can be rotated, zoomed, e-mailed, and ordered, all via TiVo remote. Slide show mode is also available.

The new TiVo enabled Web-a-Photo service is intended to provide TiVo users with a more convenient way of viewing their photos and sharing photos with family and friends. The service enables users to view photos on a television screen without the hassle of digital camera equipment. This means that the user has access to his/her photos at all times and the ability to display them on a large screen anywhere with a TiVo connection. Furthermore, the service is excellent for gatherings, since a PC screen is too confining as a photo viewing source.

"Aplus.Net takes pride in introducing ground-breaking services like this one to our customers," commented Ivan Vachovsky CEO and President of Aplus.Net. "Viewing photos on a 50" television screen can be very exciting, particularly if it is easy to do -- no cables, converters, adapters, etc. With our new service, users have the freedom to manage photos by simply using a TV remote. Our engineers weighted many options when creating this service and I am very glad that we chose to use the TiVo system, as it really stands above the competition with respect to ease of use."

Uploading photos to Web-a-Photo is very simple. A user downloads the free Web-a-Photo client and sets up a free Web-a-Photo account at www.web-a-photo.com. Once this is done, the software will recognize almost any camera or any media card reader and will start the upload automatically. Once the system is in place, the user can use the TiVo remote to view hundreds of photos, e-mail these photos to friends, order prints, and more.

The new service is available in Beta version free of charge at www.web-a-photo.com. Aplus.Net customers with Solo XR plans and above get a bonus Web-a-Photo account with their package. To learn more about Aplus.Net, visit www.aplus.net.
