American Idol Underground Gives 'Big Push' to Winners in the Biggest Song Competition on the Net

Winners in 13 Music Genres Announced Biannually

LOS ANGELES, March 28 /PRNewswire/ -- American Idol Underground (www.idolunderground.com), Fluid Audio Networks' popular Web site which allows independent artists to compete online in 13 different music genres, kicked off their inaugural competition for the "Big Push" prize package on February 1st. American Idol Underground's "Big Push" competition is the world's largest online song competition, awarding hundreds of thousands of dollars in prizes, including $200,000 in cash in the aggregate, amongst 26 winners this year.

"American Idol Underground's Big Push is unlike any other online music competition. Our winners are democratically chosen by the public," said Justin Beckett CEO and founder of Fluid Audio Networks. "Artists win based on the appeal of their music, not because of their marketability or industry connections."

American Idol Underground's "Big Push" competition will crown a winner in each of the Web site's 13 different genres biannually. Winners receive cash prizes, online exposure through spins and banner impressions and prizes from American Idol Underground partners including Audix, Musician's Atlas and Discmakers.

Every song submitted to American Idol Underground from February 1 through April 30 is entered in the "Big Push" competition. The ten songs receiving the highest ratings in each genre from February 1 to May 31 will reach the finals and be reviewed by American Idol Underground's industry panelists. American Idol Underground will announce the finalists on June 1 and launch "Big Push" voting pages for each genre. Listeners will have one month to vote for their favorite finalists from the voting page. On July 15, the finalist in each genre with the most online votes will be named as the winner.

The American Idol Underground Web site is powered by Fluid Audio's proprietary self-publishing software and is licensed by FremantleMedia Licensing Worldwide, Americas, the US licensing division of FremantleMedia, one of the largest international creators and producers of program brands in the world.
