World Poker Tour Broadcast Set Moved By Con-Way Now
ANN ARBOR, Mich., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Con-Way Now, the freight expedite company of Con-Way Supply Chain Services, Inc., a subsidiary of CNF Inc. (NYSE:CNF) is the exclusive transportation provider of the World Poker Tour's broadcast stage.
Since late August a dedicated tractor, trailer and driver from Con-Way Now move the popular reality program's stage every two to three weeks to a new casino from which the program is broadcast.
"Our contract with the tour runs until April 25 and our drivers will log over 16,000 miles delivering the stage to 12 different casinos in California, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey and Mississippi," said Michelle D. Potter president of Ann Arbor-based Con-Way Now.
The trailer is loaded and unloaded at each location by a crew from WPT Enterprises, Inc. which produces the program for Travel Channel. At the conclusion of each show a Con-Way Now driver and tractor pick up the trailer and take it to a Con-Way less-than-truckload service center where it is stored under security for the two to three weeks between competitions.
"We know the tour's schedule and that allows us to dispatch different drivers for different casino locations when needed," added Potter.
