STUDIO CITY, Calif., Feb. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Storyopolis, the nation's largest independent children's bookstore and art gallery, featuring work from children's picture books and editorial artists, is proud to announce a solo exhibition and reception for one of America's foremost illustrators, H.B. Lewis, on Saturday, February 18, 2006 from 7 - 9pm.

The creative characters and artwork of H.B. Lewis, also known as "Buck," have been featured in everything from films & television to children's books, billboards, magazine covers and even a U.S. postal stamp.

"I cannot believe that I have made it this far in life without a real job," comments Lewis.

Lewis's film credits include MADAGASCAR, LILO & STITCH, ICE AGE, ROBOTS, THE EMPEROR'S NEW GROOVE, KUNG FU PANDA, TARZAN, OVER THE HEDGE, TREASURE PLANET and the upcoming films CARS, ANT BULLY and RATATOUILLE. In 2001, he was inducted into the Disney Hall of Fame for his work in character design.

Lewis has published seven children's storybooks including the 2004 Society of Illustrators award winning, MY PENGUIN OSBERT, and the 1998 Society of Illustrators award winning, WINNIE MAE, which he also wrote. Lewis's other illustrated works include, CAN I HAVE A STEGOSAURUS MOM? CAN I? PLEASE?, THE BEST OF MOTHER GOOSE, KIDS SHENANIGANS, THE KLUTZ BOOK OF MAGIC and SANTA BEAR'S FIRST CHRISTMAS.
