MGM Names Jeff Pryor Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. (MGM) has named Jeff Pryor to the newly created post of Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications. The appointment is effective immediately.

In his new role, Pryor reports directly to MGM Chairman Harry S. Sloan. Pryor will be charged with directing communication and public relations strategies for all of MGM operating divisions including Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures Inc., United Artists Films Inc., MGM Television Entertainment Inc, MGM Networks Inc., MGM Distribution Co., MGM International Television Distribution Inc., Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Home Entertainment LLC, MGM on Stage, MGM Music, MGM Consumer Products and MGM Interactive. In addition, Pryor will also be involved in the communication and publicity strategies and campaigns for MGM's international TV channels and global channel interest, which collectively serve nearly 110 countries. Pryor is based at MGM's corporate headquarters in Century City, Calif.

Pryor, who has worked closely with Sloan for the past 10 years, joins MGM from the Los Angeles-based public relations agency, Priority Public Relations, which he founded as Pryor & Associates in 1990. During that time, Pryor handled corporate marketing initiatives and global publicity for SBS Broadcasting, S.A., Europe's second largest broadcasting company. Through various assignments, Pryor worked with all the channels in company's footprint which covers The Netherlands, Hungary, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Romania.
Among his earlier clients was another notable entrepreneur, Haim Saban. Pryor handled global publicity for his Saban Entertainment for four years, including the worldwide launch of "The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers." Throughout much of the 90's, Pryor's agency also handled numerous assignments for Sony Pictures Television on both the domestic and international fronts, including the launch and three seasons of "Dawson's Creek" and other Sony marquee programs.
Pryor has also been involved in the launch of some 30 channels around the world, most notably the National Geographic Channel. He also devised public relations campaigns and strategies for more than 150 companies since starting his own agency.
Priority Public Relations will continue under the direction of Kristien Brada-Thompson in Los Angeles and Marylou Johnston in Europe. Pryor will remain as a consultant to Priority Public Relations.
