MALIBU, Calif., Feb. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- JAKKS Pacific, Inc., (NASDAQ:JAKK) announced today that the Company has reinvented the way kids will play with their virtual pets with its newest innovation -- iPet(TM) games. iPet games are a line of interactive virtual pet games, from the company's JAKKS Electronics division, that allow owners to not only develop and nurture the pet of their choice, but then they can bring their pet to life and play with it as a character in video games on TV. iPet virtual pets games can be experienced in two completely different and unique ways. First, the handheld iPet Pet Pod(TM) is sleek and portable, and features a high resolution screen that allows pet owners to interact with their virtual pet like never before and even engage in multi-player games with their friends. Then, owners can take the handheld iPet Pet-Pod and place it into the iPet gaming console, which plugs into any standard TV, and unlock in- depth, interactive environments and videogames for each virtual pet through the use of the Plug It In & Play(TM) technology. The iPet Pet-Pod syncs with the iPet gaming console, empowering owners to play with their iPets in a variety of advanced video games starring their pets.

Powered by a combination of artificial intelligence and memory features, owners need to pay attention to their pets to mold them into distinctive creatures with their very own personalities and behavior patterns. Depending on the pet owners' involvement with their virtual pet, owners can infuse them with different strengths and capabilities.
